  • APPLICATIONS FOR SPRING ‘26 OPEN

    DROP SQUAD CREW - is Drop Zone's performance and training crew for beginner adult dancers (18+). No auditions required. Work on gaining confidence in your dancing though mixed-styles choreography, performance techniques and individual feedback. This season will focus on Hip Hop + Reggaeton providing you foundation and choreography training! You will end this season with a high quality concept video.

    DROP SQUAD runs in 10 week sessions. You can join this Drop Squad for as many sessions in the year as your schedule allows. If you are beginner, we advise 2 years of training on this team before moving onto Intermediate.

    Drop Squad prioritizes enrollment for BIPOC dancers in order to foster a diverse community in which they feel comfortable. All are welcome although we must ensure the group is at least 60% BIPOC.

    DATES

    Spring 2026: April 12- June 14

    *Film day will be on June 14th unless another date is voted on by the whole group.

    COMMITMENT

    Sunday Rehearsal: 4-6pm

    @ Dance Underground

    Your tuition includes 1 Drop Zone class per week. Reggaeton ½ on Wednesdays 6-7pm is recomended but you can take Hip Hop ½ on Sundays 3-4pm if that is better for your schedule.

    Wednesday Class: Reggaeton 1/2 6-7pm with Lex

    Concept Video: June 14th or another date that the whole group votes for

    COST

    You choose the tier that is financially feasible and applicable to you. This payment covers a 2hr weekly rehearsal AND 1 class per week.

    2hr Rehearsal + 1 class per week (8 classes total)

    Tier 1 (Needs Based): 5 bi-weekly payments of $100

    Tier 2 (Standard): 5 bi-weekly payments of $115

    Tier 3 (Pay It Forward): 5 bi-weekly payments of $130

    (Scholarship Tier): 5 bi-weekly payments of $50 Limited amount available reserved for black, brown, indigenous and/or trans people who are experiencing extreme financial hardship and are struggling to meet basic needs

    Work Study

    I have capacity to assist Drop Zone for a total of 2.5-4 hrs per week as a check in assistant, community builder, videographer or graphic designer OR trade for physical therapy, massage therapy, cleaning services, childcare, hair stylist, or photography services. I am reliable and committed to completing all 8 weeks of Drop Squad.

  • APPLICATIONS FOR SPRING ‘26 OPEN

    DRIP - is Drop Zone's performance and training team for intermediate adult dancers (18+). This season will give you training for creating, staging and teaching your OWN choreography. Your piece will be filmed and you will be given a high quality edit to immortalize your artistic project!

    With years of experience in staging pieces for live performances and concept video, Kimy Calva will let you in on her process and will offer feedback on your own creations.

    To allow you flexibility in your adult life, DRIP runs in 10 week sessions. You can join the company for as many sessions in the year as your schedule allows, as each session will have a different focus.

    REQUIREMENTS

    18+

    2+ current and consistent years of dance training in foundations and choreography. Experience on past training teams preferred.

    Ability to retain and execute level 2 choreography classes

    Class: Wednesdays 7:05-8:05pm Jazz Funk Level 2 with Kimy

    Rehearsal: Sundays 6-8pm

    @ Dance Underground

    Your tuition includes 1 Drop Zone class per week. Jazz Funk with Kimy on Wednesdays but you can take any of our other classes if you need to make up a day!

    COST

    Drizzle is a 4-week mini training series for beginners! This is a great series for you if you want to gain confidence and skills before joining a training team or taking more challenging classes.

    This 4 week series consists of a 1hr class followed by a 1hr training session. The training hour will include reviewing choreography more thoroughly, receiving personalized feedback, and working towards your mini project of filming choreography on your last session.

    Each class will build on the choreography so that by the end of the 4 weeks, you can confidently film yourself and see the progress you’ve made!
